Mrs. Cornelius
My name is Amy Cornelius and this is my 8th full time year at Richland. I have fallen in love with the teachers and families of Richland and I consider it a blessing to be here!
I stayed at home with our boys for 10 years before going back to school and getting my degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Memphis. After graduating, I went back to school and added an additional endorsement in Elementary Education.
I have been married for 21 years to my husband Michael. We have 3 boys: Thomas (21), Carter (19) and Davis (18). Needless to say our life is busy... but I wouldn't have it any other way!
A little more about me...
I love to read and spend time with my family.
My favorite vacation spot is the beach!
I love nothing more than for things to be simple and low key.
I am easy going and easy to get along with.
I am incredibly introverted and love alone time.
I LOVE to laugh and have fun.
I am a chocaholic...
My favorite places to shop are Target and Old Navy.
My favorite restaurants are Bonefish, J. Alexanders, Carrabba's, and Bahama Breeze.
One of the most relaxing things for me is getting a pedicure.
My favorite smells and fragrances are clean/fresh.
My favorite drink is McAlister's sweet tea.
I am looking forward to the growth that I will see in each of my students this year. I hope to be a positive influence on their education and to make learning fun. By getting to know each student and loving them for who they are, I hope to reach each child at their point of need. I know this will be an amazing year and I am excited to be a part of helping this group of students develop into life long learners!
